Types of smart lenses
In the past days, a single focal lens (monofocal lens) has been used to treat cataract patients. With technological advances in eye health, bifocal and tifocal lenses have been developed. Today, bifocal and tifocal lenses are used in the treatment of smart lenses. These multifocal lenses offer a wide range of correction of vision disorders and the highest possible quality of vision.
- Biofokal bifocal (long distance and near distance).
- Trifokal (distant, near and medium distance).
After the treatment of smart lenses, patients do not need glasses and the disease does not recur again.
How does a smart lens work?
The smart lens tries to break light from different distances to the eye and reach the focal point of the retina. This allows simultaneous focus on all objects, both from a distance and from close range. Smart lenses are selected and processed according to the patient’s needs.
